Bailieborough School of Music School is run by a voluntary committee made up of parents who work closely with the Musical Director, Michael Gaskin and the teaching staff. The committee oversee the finances of the school, collection of class fees and payment of teachers, they help to arrange classes, facilitate exam entries and organise concerts.
All additional funding for the school comes from our weekly Lotto, which is also organised by the committee. This additional funding helps keep the cost of lessons at a minimum affordable level by covering items such as insurance, rent, purchase of books, band music, music stands, instruments for bands and concert costs.
The success of the Lotto is vital to the school of music and would not be possible without the continued support of all parents, on Saturday at the desk collecting class fees or on Saturday night selling Lotto envelopes or overseeing the draw itself.
